Canoeing: What to Bring

We are fairly permissive in terms of what you can bring on canoe trips, but remember that everything that goes on the river with you has the possibility of getting lost or wet. When in doubt, you are better off not bringing something. For those of you tempted to pack up a U-haul truck - remember - it has to all fit in the canoe with you!

Alcohol is extremely dangerous on a river. Save the alcohol for while in camp.

THINGS TO BRING...

• Appropriate clothing for the weather
  Summer clothing: Cotton T-shirt *, Nylon shorts *
  Spring/Fall Clothing: Polypropylene/Silk, Fleece/Wool, Nylon/Gore-Tex
• Lunch! Include something to drink (non-alcoholic)
• Appropriate foot-wear* (buckles, straps, or laces are good; NO FLIP-FLOPS, CLOGS or CROCS !!)
• Sun block *
• Sunglasses *
• Sunglass straps *
• Payment for balance of bill:
  Cash, Traveler′s check, Personal check, VISA/MC/DISCOVER (main location only)
• Water-proof camera *
• Medication
• Camp gear for over-night trips

WE PROVIDE...

• The canoe, paddles, PFDs (life jackets), and the shuttle.
• The river and the weather.
